Actually 2 questions....
Does anyone know if a hydraulic wiper motor from a 69 lincoln will work in a 67?
I had bypassed my leaking wiper motor about a year ago (the car is never driven in the rain anyway). Is there any harm in doing this? Reason I'm asking is that my power steering pump started leaking recently. I'm just wondering if there's anyway bypassing the motor could have caused a blown seal?

No it could not be the cause, If the wiper is not engaged then it is not drawing off anything.
It is a coincidence, just as much as pulling the headlights and then having the alternator going bad.

Thanks Steve....That's what I thought but a sanity check was in order. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't any needed back pressure that was supplied by the wiper motor. I'd hate to re-seal the steering pump twice.

Let me look into the motor swap info.
If I recall I think they do swap but I am not entirely sure.

Steve, Don't waste your time. I just found out they are indeed different.
FYI. There's a working 69 MK III wiper motor on ebay for 22 bucks shipped if anyone needs one. It's up until the 22nd. Wish I could use it..
