Is that a showroom or a garage?

I don't like the MKZ to be honest. I'll just take a MazdaSpeed 6 :D

I wonder if they did anything to increase reliability in the heat and sand.

The only car I love from the new ford's cars( Fusion , Milan , Sable, Taurus) is the mkZ . It's different from the fusion and Milan . I like the interior :).
It's just my opinion . oh by the way the picture was taken in the showroom

Lol, I don't care what you guys say, I still think they look sexy... :p

I mean, the Conti was just a blinged up Taurus, and it did pretty well...

Uh, no. The Town Car is way more of a Crown Vic than the Conti was a Taurus. Don't make me go into that non-interchangible Conti parts rant again.:)

plenty of non-interchangable TC parts too. Lets face it though, Lincolns have shared stuff with their Ford brethren for a loooong time.

I like how many people think the Intech is a cobra motor when it was used in a Lincoln first

And it was "just" a Mark VIII motor before it was an InTech.

Why did Ford stop the production of the Continental and Mark VIII ?

CEO stupidity. They are selling Jaguar and Land Rover now...so maybe they'll come back 10-20 years from now.

Or Ford will go bankrupt and we'll never see Lincolns again.

The Town Car is dead come 2010.

Ford approved the deal...no signatures on contracts yet. This is good news for India, and Lincoln. :P

+1 to that, I'm wondering the same thing. Any idea of some kind of heavy duty cooling system or coolant? Maybe an external oil or tranny cooler? High capacity air filter of some sort?

Good. And for some reason I think Indians are more British than the British these days, so it's gonna work.

The final Continental was a lame duck. Even against the DeVille, it lacked features, content, and refinement. The Mark line fared better, but where would it have gone? The only worthwhile targets for the car would have been the C70 and CLK320/430. The SC300/400, although refined, shared the same dwindling market as the VIII. Without a platform mate, the Mark would never have gotten enough numbers to get through accounting. The Continental would have been in the same boat. The S80 platform wouldn't have supported a V8 at the time. It's just lose/lose.

Sorry folks, it still looks like my Zephyr to me....

The grill is a little different, but that's about it visually..

Granted the grille looks more expensive and the powertrain upgrades are noteworthy, but the name change was stupid. And I bet everyone here wishes they stuck with the Zephyr name. :)
