I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if 255/70/15 tires will fit on the stock Turbine wheels w/o any rubbing issues?

Thanks,
Steve

probably a little wide for those wheels. I think the stock wheels are 7" wide, right? If they will physically fit on the wheels, back should be OK, but I wouldn't try it up front. Those will be a fair bit taller than stock, and the speedometer will be off as a result.

i wouldn't see why not. stock being 235/75/15, thats not alot of difference in width. but i can't be sure.

It really is not a huge amount of difference but I am going to say that between a hand full of manufacturers shows about 1" larger diameter difference and roughly .6" wider.
My advise to you is turn the wheel all the way to one side and see if you have clearance all the way around between the inner fender lining and the tire. then walk, run, skip, whatever way you decide to move around your car, and look at the other side and check the same thing.

You will need to check both sides because one tire will be pointed in and the other will be pointed out.

another helpful hint is to have someone bounce the car and check how close the tire comes to rubbing as the body comes down.

If you need someone to help I could give my Fat A** ex-mother in law one way plain ticket to come out and help you,

Please! for all that is good in this world, do not feel obligated to send her back. :(

Here's what I found on the tire size calculator. I used it to come up with the 255/70 size because 235/75 seems so narrow and tall! I wanted something that's about the same height but a tad wider.

Tire Size Comparison

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
235/75-15 6.9in 14.4in 28.9in 90.7in 698 0.0%
255/70-15 7.0in 14.5in 29.1in 91.3in 694 0.6%

Hey Steve, you're just up I-29 in Brookings and the car is just East of you near Spicer MN so next spring when I go to pick it up I'll swing by and pick her up for weight. lol

I would love to give her to you but alas it saddens me to say this.
She lives 6 hours south west of me and (sigh) will not likely be here when you pass through. (trying hard not to laugh) I really wish I could help you by delivering her to you but, (and she has a really big butt) I just could not bring myself (stomach) to cause her to travel all the way to Omaha to help.

OK now the truth:
She is 6 hours away I like that better then 4 if she ends up in Omaha, she just would visit more often if 2 hours where shaved off her travel time, so If I do deliver her to you you will have to promos me you will do what it takes to get her to St Louis at a minimum. :D

Steve, I'll let you keep the mother in-law! Sounds like too much work!

I ended up getting some 235/75/15 Yokohama Truck tires for the car. They are the Geolander HT/S which is the more highway tread pattern.
