Proper amount of Tranny Fluid For 1993 Towncar?

Any one know what the specs are on the number of quarts of tranny fluid that these bad boys call for?

It you drain the pan, change the filter and drain the torque convertor 12 quarts plus a 10oz lubegard red should do it, you might want to buy an extra quart just to top it off if necassary.

When I flush my 93 cartier tc, I usually go through 12-14 qts. I flush it via the cooling return line and add as to whatever is extracted, in addition to doing this procedure until the fluid overall becomes bright red and clear. The filter gets changed and the pan cleaned. I inspect the tranny for anything unusual and then check for leaks. The tranny overall is running well. I flush all of my trannys about every 10,000 miles or so (using decent dino fluid).

1993 cartier tc in excellent condition with 260,000 original miles! :)

Dereck Hey Dereck would Lucas transmission fluid additive be sufficient to add if one doesn't have access to lubegard. What is the better of the two in terms of effectiveness/quality/costs? Thanks!:)

I am not familiar with the Lucas treatment all I do know is that Lubegard (http://lubegard.com/automotive/trans_atf.html) is reccomended by numerous vehicle manufacturers and seems very proficient at stopping TCC judder.
