hey guys so i got my TC back to columbus and all fixed up, but then my roomate got pulled over yesterday and he rolled down the window and now it won't roll back up! it seemed spotty at best before. it would only work when it wanted to and now its not working at all. any suggestions on how to get it back up? i don't care about it working cause i don't have any money for parts right now i just need it to keep out the cold!

I'm willing to bet you the nylon plucks ( gears ) for the window have gone bad.... ( its happened on my drivers door and i got it to stay up before the gears broke completely :D ) i can hit the switch to go up or down, andthe motor is running, but the window isnt budging. Someone will come along later and let you know exactly how to fix the issue, but I think I just told you what your problem is...... and if it isnt the gears, its your window regulator.
when you hit the switch, does your motor turn? can you hear it running?

Get the room mate outside
and using the needle nose plier around a rag (over the glass) pull up as he uses the switch. to assist each other.
When you're done, each of you pony up $3.00 (joint responsibility) and buy a pack of these;

Another way is to get some duct tape and a small putty knife or stake knife. Rip off an 8" piece of duct tape and gently stick one end to the putty knife. Push the rubber seal back with your thumb and carefully slide the putty knife down along the window to get the duct tape down. Push it down about two inches. Then, press the rubber seal closed and carefully work the putty knife out. Once free, use the putty knife to rub the duct tape down tight on the window. Then pull on the duct tape and the window will come up with it!
Good luck!

Nice trick shoe. !! I remember chipping a window once with the bare pliers technique.

If you go inside the door, you can remove the motor and push the glass back up and reinstall the motor. This is the zero cost option, but once you're that far you may as well just put another motor in there or rebuild the one that's stripped.
