Got mine done yesterday. I have functional cruise now! Yay!

I know, they sent me another letter with the information about the part being available. Time to take it in, lol! I've been rolling with an intact system, I saw no leakage therefore saw no point in being cruise-less since I use it frequently. I know, I know, roulette...lol!

Interesting. My dealer says parts are not yet in stock.

Yeah, that's what they say here too. Parts are not in yet. The way that Ford & the dealerships have handled this whole thing stinks!

My Mom threw the paper out on me. If I were to call the stealership, just what would I say to them? Speak with the parts department?

Call the Service Dept. You'll need to have your VIN# handy.

Hey Pro -
Can you post the PN's and photos.. I have the old (New.Rev1) Kit (switch & harness adapter) and was wondering what parts can be re-used.
Thanks

I'm laughing as I read this... I guess there's no need to make it a priority appointment if the parts are not in the supply chain. This has been a major headache for Ford, it hasn't inconvenienced me as of yet, but the buildup of drama from the first notification is a mess.
Here's what I don't get- If the BOO switch cancels the cruise, then the recall switch is a redundant link, right? If it is electrical and hydraulic, in the brake lines, then a heavy application of the pedal would be what is required to activate it, right? In the case that the BOO switch failed (and they have been known to have the plug slide off the terminals) and my car isn't decelerating, I'm going to be on the bottom-left steering wheel switch (cruise off) so fast and my hands are on the wheel to start with. All of this just occurred without disrupting the flow of traffic, lol!
Bottom line, it is amazing how much engineering goes into something so seemingly simple and how much money and time are required to make it right if it is a flawed design. The youngest of our Marks are now ten years old and it's enough of a challenge just to replace like with like in the parts department.

I won't be jacking up my Mark to reach that plug and photograph it :) but the P/N is...

I don't know how I missed your reply Pro, thanks !!
However, the number you have there is the same KIT Number I have already...
including the bad harness adapter # (4w1t) 14a411*AA (the bad part)..
In your KIT, was the adapter swapped with the 14a411*BB part
If you (or anyone else) still have the package, the contents components are itemized below the Kit number. I'm wondering if I can walk my bad kit into my local parts counter, and swap it for the same kit w/ the new adapter #, even though I got it from AZ

I wasn't aware of a bad kit. I thought either you had it or you didn't?

My part number ended in BA, not AA. Should I be worried?

It looks like the polarity was incorrect on only the *AA revision of 14A411.
I was told by the AZ dealer, after I rec'd the kit, that the AA will be replaced by a BB. A quick search shows the BB available separately >> here (http://www.grahamparts.com/parts_info.php?part=8W7Z*14A411*BB) << for $10 and some change.
However, reading the recall supplement #14  posted >> here (http://nhthqnwws111.odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/acms/docservlet/Artemis/Public/Recalls/2007/V/RCRIT-07V336-8625.pdf) << it looks like there will be multiple revisions of this harness.
