I see there not. Now is the problem of getting that 36mm nut off. Need to get some leverage.

Good luck bro!

Oh yes, did you say 36mm bolt? I do not recall ever needing to loosen a bolt that big in the many times I took apart my rear brakes. There should be two holding the caliper to the bracket, and two holding the bracket to the knuckle. I forget the sizes of them, but neither were as big as 36mm (that's almost an inch and a half dude).

I hope you're not trying to remove the axle nut.

36 mm is the axle nut, which doesn't need to come off.

and it's probably rusty back there after you remove the wheel, right? I've never understood why they didn't use a more weather tight design or a more corrosion resistant material.

Got straight. I was trying to remove the spindle nut, which does not need to be removed. Now I just need a friend to help in removing the parking brake cable and I should be fine. I changed the pads 2 years ago, and forgot what I did, and I didnt have my laptop with my cd to help me out when I posted last.

Yeah, that parking brake cable is a pain.

I have an office in Flushing. PM me if you're anywhere close to College Point and need a hand with that brake cable. I'm usually there once a week or so and can coordinate a trip to the office with a brief side trip to see you.
