Well... got the air ride and stuff figured out... it was the Oil level sensor messing up the computer after all.... fixed it.... YAY....

now the strange thing is... when the engine is running i am hearing a kind of Grinding sound from what seems to be the Torque Converter ..... and when the engine is OFF and the key is in the Running Position.... i hear an electrical Hum coming from the Torque Converter housing.....

i'm sure i need to get a new Converter.. but where do i get one.... any sugestions????... i looked at super coupe.... since it would be wise to go ahead to upgrade to what i am going to be wanting any way... but didn't know if you guys might know where i can get a good one

but if you think its not the Converter and something els..... feel free to leave sugestions...... Thank you....

just my 2 cents, the torque converter on a Mark VIII is probably designed for much higher torque and HP outputs and the SC converter would probably fail prematurely from that if used in a Mark VIII

i am not sure there is a better choice for a mark viii than a mark viii converter. i have heard about people using a marauder converter.

99% sure the Marauder convertor is the same as the Mark VIIIs.

Not really. The SC has more torque (315+ compared to 290) than the Mark VIII.

curtis_bob: if the noise comes when the engine is OFF, its not the convertor.

Could be the same, I really don't know. I just know that some people have mentioned Marauder converters.

Blue Oval Chips has mild to wild converters. The Marauder converter is not the same but it is a viable option for a good price.

I would agree. Curious to see what this turns out to be, though.

There is electrical components in the VB, however none are active in park. With the key off, the trans CAN NOT MAKE noise. I am comfortable in saying this issue is not TC related...find your hum noise...could be fuel pump :)

I have to agree with SilverFox. I cant see this being the converter.

The Mach I converter is a good ford replacement though just for the record.

but isn't the fule pump in the fule tank?? this hum is right above my head when i am directly under the TC... if it is something above the TC then yeah.... i don't know.. lol
