I have a 95 Lincoln Mark Viii that I want to convert the headlights on. Every kit ive looked at is 4 x 6.5. But my measurement is only 3 inches unless i remove a piece of trim from the hood. Even if my measurement is off, how would they bolt on ?

Why dont you just re-chrome your own headlight housings & then go with a $80 HID set up?

I'm not sure what your talking about when you say that the chrome trim is in the way? What kind of lights are you trying to use?

What are you trying to put in there? Do what Turbo said and refurb your housings and shine up your lenses and get an aftermarket HID kit and be done with it.

Don't replace the housings with a different assembly, put NEW BULBS in the current ones. (do the re-chroming or replace them with new assemblies)

it holds up, the light housings i redid for my first 93 were on the car over a year and still looked like the day i put them back together. the stuff doesnt burn like the original chrome.

Yup, i've been keeping a close eye on mine since dong the refurb - as yet, no condensation and no burned trimbrite! so far.... so good! :)

I had to go to 3 different Advance Auto stores before i found the stuff. If you still can't find any, order it online.

Could you explain rechroming in detail ? How do I "OPEN" up the lens to paint the inside ? I took out the light and looks like it would be very difficult to remove the lens. Where do I get a HID set up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Remove lens by cutting with a dremel type tool. Re chrome housing using trimbrite chromebrite tape. (available online, or from most Advance Auto parts stores) Re seal lens with Goop Automotive sealant. (its a strong silicon type sealant, available at almost all auto and DIY stores)

Ebay has cheap HID kits. (less than 100 bux)

Anyway, that is it 'in a nutshell' Do a web search for more info - its all out there, somewhere!

P.S. Enable your Pms!!! ;)
