Hello all-
You all probably have run into this before - - I hope!
The turn signals on my '95 TC quit. The cornering lamps come on like they're supposed to, the brights work fine, & the wipers are ok.
What could be wrong?? There's no flasher in the fuse panel, so it looks like it's part of a module under the dash. Anyone ever had this problem before? The fuses are all good, and the weird thing is that the third brake light still works fine, just no other brake lights.
Any help would be appreciated!!

Welcome to the sight! Have you checked Fuse 1 (15A) in the panel under the dash? Post back if that helps.

Yes, I have.....it's good. So is #16. That's the weird thing....all the other lights on the circuit are working OK. I'm beginning to think it may be the switch itself, or.....(gulp) the lighting control module.
I dunno..............

I am looking at my EVTM. THE LCM Pretty much only controls the "flash" action. It may be stuck "off". The only thing in this circuit is the LCM and the Multi function switch. Although since you have the cornering lights it sounds like at least a portion of the MF switch is working. Anyways on your LCM C222 pin 15 is a W/R wire. That one is flasher power IN. and pin 13 on the same connector is LB and that one is flasher out. Just for fun you also might try a little contact cleaner on the multifunction and hazard switches. My hazard switch needed to be cleaned when I first got my car. The rear turn signals go to C223 which is behind the drivers side left cowl panel pin 9 LG/O (left) and pin 5 O/LB (right). IIRC There is also a connector down there for trailer lighting. If you have/had a trailer that would be another place to look. You really need a manual to T/S some of these electrical problems easily. Good luck!!

There was a member here who took their LCM apart and fixed it. I don't remember their symptoms but it seemed like an easy enough repair.

(in the fuse box on the left panel by your knee)

my blinkers were all wonky until i replaced it...

Thanks a bunch, Dave; I'll dig into it ASAP...
I may try cleaning the m/f switch as well, or just R&R. I think I read somewhere that it's relatively easy to access.
I downloaded a service manual last night, and haven't had a chance to look through it yet.

Thanks to everyone for your help...it's mucho appreciated!

neterhet,
That's a flasher. The later Town Cars don't use one of these (that would be too easy!). Instead, the 'blinking' is done inside a module, at the lower right-hand side of the steering column.
Thanks!

Buick, Sounds like you should be able to figure it out. EVTM's (Electrical and Vacuum troubleshooting manual) are available on EBAY for less then $20. I love having a book to look at while I am working on the car.

Thanks, Dave. I'll need to do some more reading, and go from there.
Thanks so much for your time!
Have a great weekend,

Hello everyone,
I just got everything working again...........it turned out to be a bad multifunction switch. (imagine that!)
Thanks for all the input!
Blessings,

Good Job 50. How did you find it? T/S or shotgun the part?

T/S.......power into the switch, nothing out to the signals.
Thanks again for your help!!

can you tell me what the module looks like?

Hi Redpony

If you are refering to the LCM it is a big silver box with a thousand wires coming out of it above and to the right of teh drivers feet, providing you have a 95 up TC otherwise you will never find it.
