Anyone have any suggestions on the most "Quite" type tire out there for my Mark8?

I just put some Goodyear T/A's on and I dont like the "road" noise.

You're looking for quiet tires? Try Goodyear Comfortreads.

Michelins are usually pretty good. I would look at tirerack.com and check their reviews.

Michelin Symmetry, perfectly quiet and compliant ride. I've been running them since 12/05 with not a single complaint.

Does anyone know if the Energy MXV4 Plus is still manufactured? The originals were darn good too, but they were about $60 more than Symmetrys when I bought mine.

With only 5000 miles so far, my Fuzion Hri's are incredibly quiet and grip very well. They're only around $65 each, so one can afford to replace them every 15-20k to keep down road noise and always have the confidence of a set of fairly new tires.

i agree on the michelin symetry's almost every mark VIII i buy to part out has them on it, they are very smooth riding quiet tires, my green 93 has them, but my black 93 has cooper zeon zpt's on it and they are noisy, but they are wide and have a killer grip to the road, but i can live with the noise i just crank the radio anyway.

Yes they are still made and are quite popular.

Those tires were fitted OEM to our cars, of course, but also BMW 7 Series, Jaguar XJ, and many other high rollers of the day. I'm down to about 30% of remaining tread on the Symmetrys, and they are as silent now as they were day one. Of note, these tires on the Mark have been rebalanced one time since they were mounted in late 2005. Very high tolerance tire to say the least :)
