Hi everyone, I'm new to the site and have a quick question. Does anyone know if/where there is a manual trunk release for a 1993 mark 8? Thanks!

Welcome to the forum!
All cars have a manual deck release, you swing open the hinge on the rear of the car, insert the key, and pop the trunk. ;) I believe there is a button in the glove compartment that pops your trunk for the inside of the vehicle. (It's that way on the Town Cars, should be the same for the Mark VIII) :)

Like I said, it *should* be the same. There is a guy across town who has a Gen 1. Mark VIII and he pops his trunk using a keyhole in the trunk. I figured it should have a button in the glove compartment box, but I didn't know for sure, so I said "it should be the same on a Mark VIII" If I made a mistake I will gladly admit it, apologize for any inconvenience, and let someone more knowledgeable assist. I was just trying to assist in giving a starting point here. :)

I was just kidding. I know there is a keyhole, I just can't remember ever using it.

When I was selling Lincolns I received a call from a Lady telling me she could not get into her car because the remote was apparently dead. She was really distraught because she had a meeting to attend.
She was about 50 miles away, but in my wisdom, I diagnosed the situation and got her going.
I said, "ok, you are standing at the car with the remote and keys?" "Yes", she said. I said, "OK, take the key, look down near the door handle and see a key-hole, slip the key into that and turn it." She did and said "Oh my Gosh, Why did I not think of that."
I swear to you that happened.
I think the meeting she was to attand was "How electronic gadgets has taken over our livesw.lol

The electric button is on the driver's door lower trim along with the fuel door. We are a slave to our technology sometimes, lol! I seldom use the key for anything but the ignition, but it is always an option if you need it.
