Take a look at this :

It claims to have a "490" marine engine, and a C-6. I'm sure it'll go fast, at least in a straight line ;).

to me it looks more like a small block 302 converted to carburator, and Im not sur a block that big will fit in that engine bay

He corrected the ad at the very end, s/b 460 not 490.

Yep that's a big block alright. I wonder what motor mounts they would use for that.

Wow, that looks tight in the engine bay, especially on the passenger-side. Neat though. Not quite sure what the benefit would be, though, other than saying I have a 460 in my Town Car.

True, it does sound kind of badass to say, "Yeah, I've got a 460 in there." I guess this would be a fun project to do and one to have as a conversation piece as well.

He's probably selling it because he gets about 12 miles to the gallon...
I have an F-250 w/460cid and it is nothing but power and gas money....

Mostly I'm curious what engine accessories and what engine mounts were used. A friend of mine wants to build a stroker big block for an 84 Grand Marquis, which is fundamentally the same car.

That's cool but I would rather have the 460 block bumped out to a 514. I believe it was either Summit or Jegs that had it in their catalog. I gotta find the specs on it but it's a monster engine.
