Kind of a sad day

Hey guys

Well i sold my town car on Monday i believe to a guy of craigslist and immediately he started listing parts off of it well guess nothing sold and hes moving on so he has one last message up trying to sell it 150 more than he paid <GEESH> or its going to the crusher. i feel sad casue i think it could still be a good car but im relieved its out of my hair so we may need a moment of silence

If it runs it's still a good car. It kills me when you see people put a car up for sale for say $1000. They don't get that so they take it to the junkyard and only get like $200 for it. The laughed at people offering them $500 but will take $200 for it to be crushed.

Aluminum wheels, just for the metal = $20 each
Aluminum radiator = $15-20
Aluminum hood w/o steel brace = $20-25
4000 lbs of combined weight @$10/lb = $400
Battery for recycling = $5

you don't get that kind of money everywhere. He'd be lucky to get $200 from a scrapyard, nevermind a junkyard here. We got $125 for an '86 Crown Vic a few months ago.
