Does anyone know if that nipple at the back of the water pump is pressed in there or is it threaded in there? Seems mine has corroded away after 13 years on my 96 TC. It must be replaced along with the pump, and I was just wondering how difficult it will be. Also need to replace the hose under the manifold as well, but I can handle that. Just seems I've never seen anyone speak to this problem in the past, so does anybody know for sure???

Sorry I don't know the answer. Can you wait until you remove the water pump and compare to the new one? Shawn

Update-- the nipple in question is a Ford-only part and is pressed in there, actually, its probably epoxy glue holding it in its hole. Had a helluva time getting it out til I put the propane torch to it- melted the epoxy and out it came, using a "reverse out" tool on it also. Can't remember what you call it but it costs $12 at Oreilly's. The nipple itself cost $14 at Ford. Well, all is well again....:)
