I think I may still have a gremlin or two lurking within my car. A few days ago, I was unlocking the doors via the keyless keypad. The key was is in the ignition lock cylinder. When the drive door unlocked, the horn honked once. This has happened twice now. I can't find any explanation of this in the owner's manual and it does not do it consistently. Anyone else had this happen?

Nope, does not happen on my car. Does your alarm work?
To test the door feature: Turn off car, lock doors but stay inside, wait about 45 seconds for it to arm itself, Open a door. Should activate alarm.

When I would unlock my 96 Town Car using the keypad and then open the door handle very quickly after hearing the lock pop up I would be able to consistently hear one quick horn chirp.

I always guessed that the alarm system hadn't quite finished deactivating yet.

If you're quick you can make it happen every time.

I concur with Matthew,

I can get mine to repeatedly do this as I have the doorcode- open door process down to a matter of seconds :D
