I am looking into a few interior items for my 1995 Executive. My exterior color is the Silver Frost Metallic with the blur cloth top and the interior is the light graphite leather. If I'm not mistaken, most of us have a darker upper dashboard and darker upper door panels. Some of us might even have a darker rug color.

The place that I'm trying to deal with is telling me that my lighter color is titanium and the upper colors are the light graphite. He says that they bought a lot of Fords older parts. I always thought that the upper darker colors with the (grey) were the medium graphite and the bottom lighter color (grey) was the light graphite.

Does anyone know for a fact which is which and if this guy is correct or not? I just do not want to order any incorrect parts. Will some letter or number in the vin number tell me?

1 L N L M 8 1 W 7 S Y 6 1 0 9 3 4

Thanks , Kielbasa

Use the interior trim code on the data plate on the door.

A FLM dealer can tell you what it means.

See example below.

Eh, they dont know shit. I've went through this game with them already. I have the two-tone gray interior and I gave them the trim code - they told me I had light graphite/cordovan, which is wrong. The only cordovan I have is the stitched Lincoln star. I can tell you with certainty the the lighter gray is called light graphite. The darker color, I have no idea. I haven't found out to this day what it is truly called.

Hello Kielbasa,
This is what I could find. There are no data for 95 or 96, but here is the colorscheme for 1997. I hope it answers your question.

My interior trim code is: B2. From what I make of it, the B stands for leather 1 and the 2 stands for the light graphite. So that informs me of the interior color. I got this information form the shop manual. I see that the leather is listed as B, D or M. From what I have read on the board, they grade the leather with 3 different levels and assuming the B is lowest line of leather. But also, I see that the Signature and Cartier's have a different design on the seats also. Maybe that has something to do with the 3 levels also.

I am trying to repair a small portion of my dashboard that was damaged when the airbags deployed upon striking a deer! Trying to locate the interior color has become a hassle. I would assume that you have the sticker on your drive door like I do. I would guess that it has the same information as mine and it should tell you the interior color.
