moon roof switch for a 1989 mark vii lsc wheres it at?

im looking for my moonroof switch.i was told for 89 it was by the rear view mirror.is this true or false. i was on fvc and saw a console for sell it had tree switches one was for the moon roof by the way it was for a 91.i havent paid the car off yet so i dont know where the switch is as ive set in the car maybe 4 times.

My 89 has the switch on the overhead console, right in front of the moonroof.

Is it a factory moonroof or aftermarket? Are you sure it's power and not pop-up (if aftermarket)

i believe its factory it is a electric, also the rearview mirror is also missing where the rearview mirror was,there are two electrical connectors could it have been there?

No, those are/were for the power to the mirror and the auto-dim sensor. On the overhead console, on top, right in the middle of it (in front) is a flap that a remote garage door opener (Lincoln Option) fits in. Look directly under that section... do you see three switches? If you do, those are the switches for the ASC (aftermarket) Sunroof. With those switches in place, there isn't room for the remote to slide in. I'm trying to find an interior picture of my console.....

Clearly, someone has replaced the overhead console with a unit from a non-sunroof car. Why they would do that is anyone's guess...

Not necessarily. My '89 had the "post-factory" ASC sunroof, and the switch was dropped into the center console trim.

we'll look for it when we get the car it has the sunroof taped of with tape and a trash bag so no rain gets in it.were going to look for it when we bring it home.
