I am new here and this is my first post here as well. I apologize, mods, if it is in the wrong place!

My husband purchased for me this weekend a '90 Mark VII LSC. She has just over 75,000 miles on her. Leather interior, nice staight body. She is a "cargasim" on wheels. :) We are the fouth owner. The previous owner put a pampered 10k miles on her.

This is the third Mark VII that has been in the family. My husband had a '90 and got t-boned in it. We purchased an '88 about 1 1/2 ago. That one has 180k miles on it and is pretty quirky. He wanted to get me a more reliable car and we got the one in question.

Anyway, my question is how does one calbibrate the compass? i looked through the documentation that came with the car and am unable to find it.

I know, a lot of ado, for a simple question! But I thought I would take a moment and introduce myself while I was here!

Welcome aboard. Pun intended.

You'll find we have a great bunch here. Between all of us there are YEARS of Mark VII -and other Lincoln- experience.

Take a look in our Tech Section. Most common and not so common problems have been addressed.

As for the compass, find a large parking lot like at Home Depot or Walmart or whatever, and literally drive around in a large circle. NOT doing doughnuts mind you, just a leisurely (sp?) large circle.
This usually does the trick. If not follow the directions in the Tech article.

See Ya.

I too am new to the forums "even though I joined almost a year ago" and your eyes don't deceive you. It is a Mark on my avatar and it is a DIRT Stock Car. I'm sure I will get some criticism for it, but you have to admit it's different.

Welcome, Mystique. It's the Perfect place to post your Intro.
I'm (we're ?) glad you love your Mark VII. I'm pretty attached to mine.
"Cargasm on wheels"!!:) While I've never heard that expression here, it's a favorite of mine since the mid-late 70s. (are you dating yourself?) I've had quite a few since then, including many with my Mark VII. I hope you have multiple cargasms with your LSC.
