Hey all, i've asked a few questions on here before about my 89 mark lsc. First i'd like to say you all are a tremendous help and your tips and advice is more then appreciated. Without it my car would probably be in a junkyard right now or be recycled metal. :(

The rear carpeting around where the third brake light is by the rear window is sun baked and in some spots, missing. I'd like to take it all out and replace it with the same color (maroon-ish red) but i'm not sure what I should do it with or where to get it. Any ideas?

I know it's a stupid question but I just like to check in with you guys before doing anything to my beloved mark because you all probably know heaps and bounds more then me and I don't want to screw anything up because i'm a newbie :p

Take care, and once again - Thank you!

I want to change the rear window carpet on mine too. Saw some maroon carpet at Pep Boys. I'm just worried about getting the old carpet out in one piece for a template.

That whole package tray lifts out. Just like a headliner, take it off, carefully remove the old carpet/material. You can get the same stuff that's used to cover the trunk floor (Pep Boys, AutoZone, etc.) in different colors.... however, before you go ripping everything apart, take a sample to a carpet outlet and ask if they have something similar that's UV protected. If not, you may be able to get an OEM piece of material through a place like Mustangsunlimited.com, yearone.com or possibly body shop supply house. It's the same with the rear speaker grilles. I'm going to re-dye mine black with vinyl/fabric dye from Dupli-Color.
