Hey all, the heater core went out (in my 88 Cougar) so its time to pull out the dash. But since I am in there, I'd like to replace the blower motor and evaporator at the same time.

Ford sells the heater core and evaporator...but not the blower motor. Since I can't find one online, does anyone have any insight into the best brand for a new one? Autozone actually has Seimens and that's one brand name I actually trust.

Advice is appreciated. :)

i would just go with the siemens, i believe they were also the source company for ford, otherwise, take a battery to a junkyard and test blower-motors there, if ya find a god one, there ya go, but just be mindful you wont have a warranty

did you search eBay by basic part number......that is the trick;)

some of these sellers on ebay don't know what they have, so they post up the part Numbers......

search title AND message text for E8SZ-18476-A or just the basic number 18476 for heater core

why are you replacing the evap core, is it bad?

search for 18527, that is blower motor, maybe E3SZ-18527-A

the warranty on the parts is all fine and dandy, but are they gonna re-imburse you for the time it takes to change em out AGAIN??
