Since the Continental was basically a stretched taurus has anyone done a engine swap from a SHO?

DustyLbottoms found one in a junkyard. Odds are the owner got tired of the work involved and gave up.
You should get the entire subframe from a SHO and slap it into the Conti, probably the easiest way to make it happen. From there either the Conti computer will need to be recalibrated (SCT or twEECer) for the SHO's engine, or the SHO's computer needs to be installed in the Conti. Not sure which way will make everything work, but that's where to start.

Here's the pic, found at Crazy Ray's outside Baltimore, MD. circa 2004.
As Pro said, from the haphazard way everything is throw in there, it doesn't seem they ever got further than a mock-up before the car was scrapped.

Too bad it would have been cool if it was completed

Exactly.
The subframe swap would be the way I would approach it... that way you can find one iwth a 5 speed and have a Conti with a manual transmission too!
