New to the site. I've already used several of the tech tips and found they are a great help.

I bought my 96 Cartier T/C 2 years ago and have found it to be a great car - essence of pearl with cloth top and chrome quarter panels, gold trim, grey leather. I do however have one really nagging issue. The ATC will not illuminate unless The headlights are on. I looked at the ATC bulb replacement page http://www.lincolnsonline.com/tech/00199.html , but wonder if it's more of a wire or fuse problem. It is the only electrical issue I'm having.

If this problem, no ATC lighting without headlamps on, is archived, just show me the way.

Thanks.

welcome.......

It looks like there are 2 separate circuits and bulbs in there.

Does the rear window defrost illuminate in ther same fashion with the headlight switch.?

They are on the same feed.

could be a blown bulb, there are 2 in there......

pin 4 and pin 18

pin 18 comes from headlight switch

both use different grounds too.....
