nice...could be a clone of mine.... except I have the smooth leather interior and not the perforated sports leather. Nice but not worth more than 2000.00 in my opinion. No pictures of the trunk, dash, front seats, engine bay, headliner .... without that I wouldn't waste my time looking at it.

That car was re-painted. ALL of the exterior badges are missing. Also, the hood being cracked open is a sure fire sign that the car needed a jump start. Let's make that 1500.00 and THEY pay the shipping!

Yeah, your car is pretty common.
Nice to see you're moving on. :p

If everything works and its as nice as it looks in the pictures, thats a $3,000 - $3,500 car in my neck of the woods.

Yah I noticed that too. They are out of their minds. That car has been on CL for at least 2 months. Price hasn't moved a penny lol.

For a good paint job, you'll spend over $3k. That car is worth $4k or more depending on the mechanicals.

Why would I want to spend $5695 on a 2 door Taurus?

:blow: That makes NO sense. You haven't driven one obviously. I suck Tauruses into my exhaust and spit them out the ass-end.
15.119 in the 1/4 mile?? There is a lot of guys on here who have you beat including my 98 LSC STOCK. DO your homework ;) JP has a 93 Mark that has pulled on GT500s and Corvettes.

Yeah, that's a stupid statement. Sorry, but it is.
A Taurus, 3.0L V-6, FWD.
A Mark VIII, 4.6L V-8, RWD.
Pretty big difference.

You should consider going to the SHO forum. There you can talk about all the Ferraris and Lambos that you can beat with your Taurus.:
Are you 10? It's obvious you haven't been here long enough to know my sense of humor!:p But your response is that of a young lad, full of piss and vinegar. Maybe it's me? I don't get the whole SHO, Ferraris comment? I gots me a Linclon! :D Are you that fired up about my silly comment that you PM me this message? What where you hoping to accomplish? Should we verbally duke it out?:box:If it helps, I do like the Mark VIII. But it does resemble a 2 door Taurus, if there would be such a thing. If that offends you, it is only my opinion.

 Wow! That's awesome!
There are alot of cars that do better than 15.1... Stock! I don't claim mine to be fast. In fact I don't think I said anything about my car or it beating you or anyone else. But it ran that with 370,000+ miles on it! I also know about most people's cars on this forum. So instead of racing can we settle this with a pissing contest? I might have a better chance.
Does it count that I'm planing on building a twin turbo set up for my other car (http://www.fordvschevy.com/forum/showthread.php?t=68065)? I'm hoping to break into the 14's with that one.:D If I get deep enough in the 14's, ya think I could win this argument or will I have to put a 3rd turbo on? THAT'S IT!! It's back to the drawing board to plan out a tri turbo set up! Then I will pass you so fast that I won't be able to tell if your Taurus has 2 doors or 4!:p
Now, in all seriousness, I didn't mean to offend you. Sorry if I did. I hope you enjoy your Lincoln as much as I enjoy mine.

To avoid arguments in the future, how about a new rule be put into effect here... unless it's YOUR car up for sale, DON'T POST UP A LINK TO SOMEONE ELSE'S!!!!
I'm guilty of that and for that, I apologize.
Everyone here is capable of looking on Ebay, Cars.com, Autotrader.com or Craigslist if they want to buy a Lincoln.

Isn't eliminating all side comments about the car better than preventing someone from finding a car? It would address the true root cause of all the fuss.

Human nature won't allow that. You know, Nick that "everyone" wants to be right. it just never works out that way.

Hey Jack, i made a deposit on Kuda's Mark 7. He sent me picks of it and just couldn't turn it down. Just hope i can solve the brake issue. Drug 3 more 91's in this week so i have a new master cylinder.

Better yet. I bet it's because they can't get any of the body lines match up.
Edit: Guess not I see the picture of the hood closed. Looks spot on.

Point taken. ;) I was just a little dumbfounded by Robbs comment...that's all. No apologies needed. It's not your fault. :p

Question since a few Special Edition cars are mentioned here. How rare are good SE wheels? I have four which are toast(paint), and I found a new one on eBay a few years ago. Should I just sell the odd one and not use the SE wheels? Does anyone know of an SE that could appreciate a new wheel? Regards,

For about 100.00 each, there's a place near me here in the Philly 'burbs that will strip, repaint and polish the lips on the SE wheels. If I had the cash, I'd take all 5 from you. :( <still waiting for the lottery Gods to smile upon me>

Heck, my 96 is clean and I'd sell it for 30% less than that! They didn't hold value real well. It's a shame that a once 44K car sells for 5%-8% of its initial value. :(
5%-8% is a median value. Some are higher some are lower.

I agree. I have always bought used cars. I like not having a car payment, and this works out even better when you're planning on sinking money into the car. Heck, if I do a rebuild and have some minor body work done within the next few years, she's as good as new again. :p

Ditto, I like buying used high option Fords, they are good deals. I got my Mountaineer for $8500 almost six years ago, and have about $9500 in total in it. Now I'm rebuilding it, so I'm going to spend about $12,000 or so and end up with a much better than new SUV.
Fix them to keep, not to sell.
