Bluetooth?

Anybody put aftermarket Bluetooth in a TC? It's about the only thing my '03 doesn't have that I want. I'm totally cold on this, so any information will be welcome.

FLM makes a Bluetooth retrofit kit for your car.

Head down to your local dealer and ask about the "Mobile Ease bluetooth phone kit."

Progress report - this is a big deal.

The factory Bluetooth kit is # 3W4Z19G399AA. This is a generic piece that fits all or most all FoMoCo products. Then you pair it up with a wiring harness connector that's specific to the year/model/audio system you have. The two together are about $500.

Installation time is about a couple of hours, but it may vary depending on how complex the installation is. Most complex of all are vehicles with a nav system, because the nav computer's memory has to be reflashed and apparently that takes a long time.

Not sure whether it's worth all this. Thinking over whether something like the Parrot system would be easier/cheaper.

Ouch, for that cost I'd definitely change to an aftermarket HU with blue tooth. You can buy the whole radio and more for less. I'm soon going to be after a single DIN HU for my Mark VII with blue tooth. I think you have great choices either way, isn't the Town Car almost a double DIN? Is it the same as I recall the Crown Vic being, the area behind the top of the HU has to be short? Regards,

I should have mentioned I have the navigation system, which is all mixed up with the radio. So a new head unit is out of the question in this case.

Many of the "aftermarket" nav devices---Garmin---has bluetooth for cellphones. Other than this type of bluetooth, a retro fit WILL be very costly and most likely the results will not be worth the $$$.

Ditto, adding devices to aftermarket HU's is also expensive. If you have the navigation built in now, then an adapter for bluetooth should be the cheapest way.
