I need a blend door actuator for a 1989 Lincoln Town Car. It looks like this:

There wasn't any part number on this thing so I don't have a number. Hopefully someone has one or can point me in the right direction of where I can get one. Thanks =)

Is it the electrical part or the vacuum motor thats bad? The parts are seperate if I'm not mistaken What exactly is it doing? Its possible the issue is elsewhere in the system, that particular device seldom fails.

When I set the climate control to low temp to get air conditioning, no cold air comes in, only hot air, even though the air conditioning hardware itself works. The blender door refuses to swing in the direction to allow the cold air to enter the vents into the passenger cabin, and when this part was removed my mechanic was able to move the blender door by hand, which means the door itself isn't jammed.

Put a vacuum pump on the diaphram. If it moves and holds vacuum, the problem is most likely at the interior air temperature sensor, which lives above the glovebox. I've honestly never had one of those diaphrams fail, every time I've had issues with climate contrils in one of these cars its been the sensor thing over the glovebox. Dashpad needs to be removed to access it. They're available new from Ford still, about 30 bucks.

Where is this part located? Under the dash? I scour salvage yards as a hobby (one the wife doesn’t disapprove of as much as others!) and try to find unique items for car enthusiasts…I try very hard to find items that will please my fellow Lincoln owners. It is my policy, however, not to sell “junk”. My goal is to please the customer and help you get your Pride and Joy as nice-looking and functional as possible.
If you need anything in particular, and if it is available, I will do my best to help out. Just email me at rmdean00@yahoo.com.
THANKS AND HAVE A GREAT DAY!!
