1994Continental

Guys,
1) How difficult is it to change an ignition switch on a 1994 Continental? After reading the manual it seems TOO easy.
2) Is it possible to have an ignition lock cylinder made to fit the original door key? I have an aftermarket ignition key/lock that does not fit my door lock cylinders and the original Lincoln (ignition) door key. I'd like to keep the original Lincoln key if it can be made to open my door lock cylinders, IF POSSIBLE.
3) I've found that 4 numbered keys can fit my 94 Continental. Motorcraft: SW 2416 (number 1 cut key), SW2417 (number 2 cut key), SW2418 (number 3 cut key) and SW2419 (number 4 cut key).
4) What is the significance of the numbers?
I installed a Motorcraft trunk lock and glove box key set that is numbered "2".
5) Will ANY of these "numbered keys" fit my 1994 Continental?
A black paint job is coming soon!
THANKS!
Mike
