LETS GO YANKEES!!!!!!
I finally had it up on the lift today. It's not quite a steal. This car has alot of rust underneath. I found under the seat an oil change sticker from 2004 in which the vehicle had 76,000 miles. It has only been driven 2,000 miles in 5 years. Meaning that it sat outside alot in these New York winters.

Specifics about the rust:

Oil pan is rusted to the point of being almost porous.

Brake lines rusted (no surprise....I have brake line bending and flaring kit so when time comes I'll be ready).

Original mufflers rusted through (again no surprise) Cats are OK so an aftermarket cat back will fix it.

Oh and...

Hooray Yanks
(now that it's over I can spend more evenings on the car).

I'd suggest slowing the corrosion. Spend $50 for some rust chemicals from Eastwood. You can slow rust to a crawl and add many many years to the car. I like their Rust Dissolver as a liquid that can be sprayed anywhere and creep into seams, no other product will do that. Don't spray it on interior parts of course. It's for any metals and doesn't prevent painting. You can wipe it clean as any final wipe down before painting. Rust Encapsulator works great over it, and their Chassis Black paint lasts a long time. You can get those in small containers and/or spray cans, or much more for bigger jobs. I wish we didn't have to deal with rust, all cars should be under coated when new. Regards,
