Hood and bumper cover are both things I've had to replace on my 96. They are not easy to find.

A parts car will be a must. I lucked out by finding one in a scrapyard about thirty miles south of me to jack my hood from. Bumper cover I managed to find aftermarket but I'll be surprised if they're still available (that was a couple years ago).

Hmmm, wish I'd found these guys when I was looking. I had to settle for non-LSC bumpers on my LSC.

Sucks man, but at least she's okay. I've seen those pics on the net of deer and elk sitting inside the car with the driver after they've gone through the windshield. Scary stuff.

About the biggest thing to run in to out here are coyotes... animal and otherwise.

The grille and parking light will be tough to find, but not as tough in my opinion as the hood and bumper cover. The plus side of things here is that it is a Gen 1, which while parts are still hard to find they are a tad easier to find than Gen 2s. I would check e-bay. When I was in an accident a couple years ago, my body shop got most of my parts from a guy in Florida off of ebay that has a shop with Mark VIII parts and you could never tell that I teeter-tottered off of a cement barrier after being cut off by a semi. She looks normal again. I hope you have the same results. Good Luck!!

Search craigslist. I saw folks there parting out older or damaged cars, you may get lucky for much less.
Good luck.

To bad you don't live around me we have several in the yards near me including two 98's. But finding a 95 continental like mine is a different story, they don't come through to often.

E Gads! I'm glad moose are not a road hazard down here. Sounds like that could have been way worse, good your nephew made it out ok.

yeah, he was lucky it wasn't worse. car was towed in to our shop in town. amazingly little damage to the hood or front. windshield is in pieces on the hood, and the roof is squished to the middle of the doors. 1999 cavalier z24. funny thing is the door frames are virtually untouched and still straight up.
we get a few moose incidents towed in yearly. it's amazing the damage an animal can cause. gotta learn to watch ditches carefully around here.

Wow mines not that bad,

Been one hell of a week first a good friend stopped to help a dog that got hit by car and Ambulance hit and killed him Halloween night. Then My Aunt died the next day .
Sandy hit a deer two days later.
Then I get a phone call yesterday morning my brother died from a Heart attack and wrecked his car. Now Sandy's got the flu real bad.
I not sure how much a guy can take in one week.

Well I found the hood and front bumper for the Mark VIII $100.00 for both. Now I just got to get the grill and parking light.
I also bought another door that was complete for $30.00
Good find.
