I remember that pump, big ole sheet metal thang....early conti's and towncars from the 70's had them I think, some trucks too..
I just can't remember where the pressure relief is, but I'm thinking internal

oh yeah, the old metal thing with the dipstick. I think all Fords had that right through the late 70s. I think the relief valve is right where the pressure line threads in, or at least thats where it lives on later ones. Its part of the big funky fitting where the hydraulic line attaches. Usually you can unthread that from the pump, and inside you'll find a plunger and a spring that makes up the relief valve assembly.
