I think you have air struts, meaning the air spring and damper is one unit. Can anyone else confirm?
How many miles are on the truck?

I may be mistaken but I believe the rear is the same as the Towncar's with the air spring being inflated by the compressor and the shocks being separate. I would start looking into shocks all around and see how much that helps you out.
Also check tire air pressure. There is a noticeable difference from 30psi to 35psi in my car. [ February 07, 2005: Message edited by: cason1 ]

I should have clarified that the fronts might be struts while the rears have separate air springs and shocks.

thanks guys, I'm going to look into new air shocks and springs in the back. I changed the air pressure a few times just to try to get a better ride and it seems 35psi is pretty much the best.

Unless the rear is sagging or raised really high, the springs should be fine. I would start with shocks. It may even be the tires you have on there. Good luck with finding your problem.

I've changed the shocks on one 98 navi with 114k miles on the odo, and i'm about to change them on an other navi with approx the same mileage.
