Continental parts, 1985, 1986, 1984

Hi,

Best Lincoln oriented board on the planet Earth!

I am slowly going to try to eliminate some 1985 parts that I have accumulated over a decade or two.

One is many Continental wheels, used, but decent.

Please tell me what you need, and I will try to help.

Vitas

87 Continental parts needed

Didnít see a pm. Some of the parts I need dash pad (brown) for Givenchy, dash finish panel, dash light warning (egg crate) bulb housing. I have 4 digital instrument panels all of them read mileage error need a working panel or replacement chip. These little 8 pin chips only cost pennies thousands of cars use a similar chip we just need an equivalent chip number. Left & right door panels with weather stripping left & right sun visors right parking light maybe a left front fender and maybe a hood. Two of the clips that hold the air springs at the bottom.4 pigtails for the air spring solenoids. All of the Crome aluminum molding on both sides around fenders and doors. Head liner for car with sun roof and hood pad. I know Iíll need other things later. Thanks for your help please let me know what parts you have and if they are used or NOS. Thanks again

I was actually able to fix the "error" mileage display on my 84 by re-soldering the connections to the chip in the white cube. I found that suggestion on here somewhere, and I figured I had nothing to lose. Still fine 3 years later.

Error

Hi gadget73: I didnít get a pm from you. I was not able to fill out a profile yet.Maybe thereís something that I need to do first. I have 4 of the mileage chips and 4 instrument clusters tried heating them with the soldering iron finally got two to work they both came up with the same mileage. Then I tried them in a different cluster none of them worked. Tried a 3rd cluster after the iron again this time only one worked but it showed less mileage 000001.4 so I stoped there as it was late at night. Was working on them on the bench pin # 18 & 17. 12v b+. Ground pin # 13 next day tried it in the car OK so far. Still need a lot of work and parts.

I had sent a PM to Vitas asking for a list of exactly what parts he had for sale, sorry I wasn't clear on that.

Hi Kids!

As far as I can see, I do not see any PM's.

I still have my 1985 Valentino, and my 1983 Mark VI coupe, moon dust charcoal, and my 1966 Convertible, and a 2007 Town Car, and my Dad's 1983 4 door sedan, with very specific options.

I would like to have one of my friends pick up some parts, and then let you guys and girls figure out the proper distribution.

The parts are currently in a storage bin.

I am dealing with a lot of family issues, so I apoloigize if I am slow in responding.

Vitas
