Cabin air tempature location 98 Base

Think my problem is the cabin air tempature control. It takes a looong time for the car to heat up. So where is it located?

Warning: uninformed comment.

If you're talking about the cabin temp sensor I don't know where it is in the MVIII but in the '89 MVII it's behind a small opening in the center of the dash. When you find it it'll likely be covered with schmutz which is effectively insulating the thermistor. But...I can't think of a scenario where that would cause slow cabin heating.

Another possible cause of slow heating is a thermostat sticking in or near the open position. Try measuring the voltage out of the engine temp sensor. That can be translated into coolant temp*.
Never give up,

*In the MVII 0.65 Volts signals 195 degrees. Higher voltage will indicate lower temp.
