Sorry that I won't be a lot of help, but why is the title "strutmasters" for this? Did you just install the shocks from Strutmasters and this issue popped up?

But the air suspension light isnt? Make sure the installer didnt just unplug a wiring harness whouch would disable the ABS/TC system.

bypass?
You have to ground portions of the wiring harness, per the included instructions, after installing the new struts. Was that done?

The truth is I eliminated many potential problems by going with the passive struts. Once I fix this minor problem thats it. I have noticed no difference without the air and for $200 per (front) side it's the only logical way to go.To replace the air bags only would have been $175 a side.

I'm considering doing the conversion, too.
What if you decide not to cut the wires under the seat at all and just turn off the switch in the trunk? Will that work without causing similar problems seen here? |

Funny you should ask that question.I replaced the front only and still have air in the back so I didn't have that option.I should have done the rear also because now the rear is too high and won't come down.My compressor never comes on with the switch on or off.I had a feeling this was gonna happen.Strutmaster told me everything would be fine before I decided to go this route with the front passive and the rear air.Now they tell me I need a compressor or compressor relay or change the rears.

I would probably convert the rears to springs if you are happy with the way the front feels.
The reason I asked about just turning off the switch was in case something went wrong and you wanted to switch back to air suspension again. I'm still not sure what the answer is?? If I convert all 4 wheels can I just turn the switch off in the trunk or is it necessary to cut and splice the wires for everything work correctly? (Assuming I don't care if it says "air suspension disabled" on the dash) |
