Emergency need to know-Driveshaft

I was planning to have my shaft re-tubed soon at a large hotrod facility near here. Well, a good friend and the owner passed away unexpectedly last week and they're folding. I just found out if I get it in tomorrow it will be the last driveshaft they do.
What I need to know is, I want to eliminate the cardain joint if I can. Is there a single U-joint I can use between the existing flange and the shaft to do this ? I need to know so I can calculate it's new length. Tomorrow AM is my deadline or else it's an hour away to go to people I don't know and I'd like to avoid that. See Montegoman, a true hotrodder will help you even from the beyond ! God rest your soul Ron Greene, God bless...
Out to the shop now to pull the shaft and finish the fake EGR plate

Take the old one in and have them measure it up, and tell them you don't want the double joint on the rear. Any good shop should have no problem with that...

Got it out on the bench...rats! unless he has a mustang tail or donor shaft there, it looks like I'm stuck w/the cardain. They're doing me a favor taking it in at all, so I have to take what I can get and get it streched to fit. I've been getting by 1.5" short, but I won't trust it w/the blower.
