I have done these kits a few times, mainly on pickups....
I found that if you save a lot of $$$ (buy cheap) it can be a big disaster and mess. Quality kits go on easy and stay put....the one on my truck has been there for two years and is still perfect and like new...I paid around $125 for it. Usually, the kits come with a "prep" solution that you sparingly put on the dash where the wood grain is to go...easy enough Take you time and be careful...once a piece is adhered to the dash, it is pretty tought to get off, and usually will not stick again...good luck

I have bought them all online....not ebay, but others. Can't remember all their names, but one was exotic wood dash kits, or something to that effect...

Yeah one of my friends wanted a kit for his 2000 too, I dont understand why they dont make them for the 98-02 years. I received my kit today and will probably put it on myself this weekend. I will try to take pics and post.

Found Dash Kit for 2000 TC.
http://www.burlwooddash.com/category...NCAR_Dash_Kits 11 pieces, but as my TC has wood grain on switch plates, would only need 5 pieces. At $127.50, plus S&H, on sale, I’ll pass for now until someone makes a better kit with more pieces. |
