I recently developed an airbag leak and it took awhile before I could
get a new bag. In the meantime, a lot of moist air was pumped thru the
dryer.
Instead of buying a rebuilt or new dryer, I dried out the current
one. It has to be removed from the car and the 4 airlines pulled out.
I used a plug-in air mattress air pump to blow warm, dry, heated indoor
air back through the dryer from the airline end to the dryer intake nozzle.
This took about ½ hour and at first you could easily feel cool moist air
coming out. That changed to warmer drier air as the moisture was removed
from the dessicant.
This is the 2nd time I've done this and it has worked fine.
